Workshop Overview
Our world is increasingly saturated with grief, loss, trauma, and collective sorrow. Helping professionals are often called upon to hold space for profound pain— all while navigating their own. Yet many feel underprepared to support grieving clients with confidence and skill.
This immersive, two-day CEU workshop is designed for social workers, counselors, medical professionals, and other helping professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of grief and loss through evidence-based theory, contemporary research, and creative interventions.
Participants will explore:
- Contemporary grief models, including meaning-making, dual process, continued bonds, and non-linear approaches
- Creative interventions inspired by art therapy, IFS, narrative practices, and writing for healing
- Current debates surrounding Prolonged Grief Disorder
- The power of SELF-led healing for grief professionals
